Common Questions

For registration purposes, how do you determine what a household is?
A household includes parents and children that live within the same house. Each household that registers will require their own campsite. If a household has additional adults staying with them that do not live in their home, these additional adults will be charged a specified rate and are NOT included in the maximum household rate.
Does everyone who registers need to volunteer in some capacity?
Yes – it takes a lot of people to make an event like this successful. All attendees will be assigned to a “tribe” once they register. These tribes will then be assigned to different tasks throughout the week (meals, grounds maintenance, etc.). Aside from the tribal duties, attendees are asked to sign up for additional volunteer positions when they register, such as: Wood Chopping, Camp Set Up and/or Tear Down, Photography/Videography, Sukkot Watchmen, Facility/Grounds Upkeep Leader, Kitchen Duties Leader, Children’s Activity Leader/Helper, and/or Daily Activities Coordinator. (All able-bodied men over the age of 18 will be required to serve as Watchmen. Women have the option to volunteer as well.)
What time is check-in?
Full week: Check-in on Thursday, Sept. 24 from Noon-5:00 PM. People also have the option to check-in on Friday from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM. Cost remains the same. (If checking in on Friday, you must be done setting up before sunset.)

Partial week: Check-in on Wednesday, Sept. 30. There is no official check-in time.  Contact a Committee Member when you arrive.
Can I reserve a specific campsite?
Sites will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

With that said, we will reserve spots closest to the building for those with physical restrictions.
Can I park my car/truck at my campsite?
You can park just off the road by your campsite. No driving through the campsites.
What are the campsites like?
There are open fields with space designated for tents or RVs.

Click here for a camp map.
What kind of electricity will we have?
RV’s: There will be plug-ins for 20-amp extension cords. Please do not run air conditioners, microwaves, chest freezers, or expresso machines as these have proven to overload the system in the past.

Tents: Bring several 15-amp extension cords, at least 100’ of cord. You will not be able to run electric heaters or AC but this will work for crockpots and coffee pots.

Please note: If using propane heater, a CO2 detector/alarm will be required. (These are NOT supplied by Corner Fringe.)
Will we have a place to plug in crockpots?
Yes - In addition to the electrical plug-in at your camp site, there will be electricity in the building where we eat meals. There are also electrical outlets scattered throughout the property.
Will food be provided?
One corporate meal (evening dinner) on non-Shabbat days is included in the cost of your stay:  Friday, Sept. 25; Sunday, Sept. 27; Monday, Sept. 28, Tuesday, Sept  29; Wednesday, Sept 30; Thursday, Oct 1; Friday, Oct 2. (You will need to provide your own dinner on Thursday, Sept 24.)

NAME TAGS will be REQUIRED to gain entry to the building for all meals provided by CFM.

We will have a potluck-style Oneg dinner on the High Holy Days/Weekly Sabbaths (Saturday, Sept 26 and Saturday, Oct 3). Every family is expected to bring a meal item to share.
Can we have campfires? And if so, what about firewood?
Do NOT start a fire on the Sabbath. If you desire to have a fire on Shabbat, all firewood must be gathered, prepped, and the fire started before sundown. Campfires are allowed but must be contained. Fire rings will NOT be provided. If you want a campfire, you will need to bring one. Campfires always need to be attended to or extinguished when not in use.

Firewood will be available onsite without cost. No cutting branches from trees is allowed.
Will there be showers & bathrooms?
Portable toilets will be brought in and placed throughout the grounds. A shower house will also be available.
Will there be a place to wash hands and dishes?
The kitchen is off limits to ALL campers. However, there will be a wash basin set up in the tent area for washing hands/dishes as needed.  RV campers are also able to use this basin if they fill up their grey-water tank before pump-outs.
Where will we meet for corporate gatherings?
We'll be putting up a large tent to be used for worship services.

There is a building on the property that we will use for mealtimes and other corporate gatherings.

You do not need chairs for the corporate gatherings but will want to bring some for your campsite.
Will there be a safety team on site?
We are planning to have Sukkot Watchmen on site to keep an eye on the facility grounds. However, we ask that if you see anything that raises questions, say something to a member of the Sukkot Committee.

Please note: All able-bodies men over the age of 18 will be required to serve in this capacity. Women may also choose to volunteer.
Do I have to pay if I'm just going to attend the Sabbath services?
No, the worship services on the High Holy Days/Weekly Shabbats (Saturday, Sept 26 and Saturday, Oct 3) are open to the public. (There will NOT be a service at the church building on those days.) Also note, these services will NOT be available on live stream.
What is the Subsplash Chat Group: Sukkot 2026?
Everyone who registers will be added to “Sukkot 2026” chat group on the CFM app. Once added, you will receive an invite by email to join. You need to be logged into the app in order to participate. This will be used by the Sukkot Committee for communicating before and during Sukkot. It’s also a place where you can ask questions and share information you may have.
What if an online member or someone outside our local community asks about attending?
Please have them contact the church office at (763) 210-3888 or info@cornerfringe.com.

Due to the safety concerns for our children, we do not openly promote our corporate Sukkot. When online members show an interest in attending, we review each request on an individual basis. They will complete a questionnaire and speak with one of our Deacon Delegates.
What time is check-out?
Everyone will need to be checked out by Sunday, Oct 4 at 11:00 AM.
