We Believe...

Oh, how I love Your law!

Psalm 119:97

Our Statement of Faith

We are a first century Judeo-Christian Messianic congregation returning to the Jewish roots of the faith in the Messiah Yeshua through the Hebraic understanding of the scriptures.

Our Mission

Worship the LORD our God in Spirit and truth.

Share the Good News that Jesus/Yeshua is the promised Jewish Messiah. And through faith in Him, we can be saved from our sins and given eternal life.

Fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus/Yeshua as outlined in Matthew 28:19-20 by teaching the whole counsel of the Word of God (Genesis through Revelation) through which we seek to inform, inspire, encourage, challenge, and warn.

We Believe...

GOD

Tri-Unity

We believe the Lord (YHWH) our God, the Lord is One, the Creator of heaven and earth, Who exists eternally in three persons
1Greek: sg. "Hypostasis", pl. "Hypostases"
: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
2 Deuteronomy 6:4, Exodus 3:6, Genesis 1:1-3, Exodus 20:11, Malachi 3:6, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14
.

The Father

We believe in God the Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, of all things seen and unseen
3Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:15-16
, Who dwells in the highest heaven
4John 3:13; 1 Timothy 6:15-16
, and Whom no man can see directly
5Exodus 33:20; John 1:18; 14:7-11
, but Whom all can see and know through His Son, being understood by His Creation
6Exodus 33:20; John 1:18; 14:7-11; Romans 1:20
.

The Son

We believe in our Lord and Savior, Lord Jesus Christ (Messiah Yeshua), Who is the Eternal Word of the Lord, the unique and only begotten Son of God through Whom all things were made
7Matthew 1:1; John 1:1-2, 1:18, 3:16; Colossians 1:15-17; John 8:12; Hebrews 1:3; Colossians 1:15; John 17:1-5; Proverbs 30:4; Psalm 2:12
. Who became incarnate being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born in the flesh through the virgin Mary
8Luke 1:26-35; Matthew 1:18-23; John 1:14; 1 John 3:5, 8; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 2:14
.

We believe He willingly offered up His own life as a ransom for our sins through the shedding of His blood on the Cross, though He knew no sin, thereby, conquering sin and death and giving us the promise of eternal life
9Matthew 20:28, 26:28; John 1:29; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:21-25; 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 1:3-5, 19; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 2:14
.

We believe He died in the flesh, was buried, and rose on the third day according to the Scriptures and is now seated at the right hand of the Father
10Luke 24:50-51; Romans 8:34; John 16:28, 20:17; Acts 1:9-11, 2:32-33; 1 Timothy 3:16
as our King, High Priest, and Mediator of the New Covenant
11Acts 2:24, 32; 1 Peter 1:3-5, 19; Amos 9:11; Ephesians 1:20; Hebrews 4:14; Hebrews 9:15
.

We believe He is coming back very soon to gather His Elect from the four winds of heaven and bring the world into Judgment
122 Timothy 4:1,8; Acts 10:42, 17:31; John 5:22-29; John 5:29; Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46
. At the Last Trumpet, He will return and the dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord.

We believe He is the promised Jewish Messiah Who was sent to deliver Israel and the world.

We believe that because of the redemptive work of Jesus (Yeshua), both Jew and gentile are no longer two separate entities but rather one new man in Jesus (Yeshua).

We believe Jesus (Yeshua) is God, because He is the Son of God and 'ONE' with the Father. And that all should honor the Son as they honor the Father. Revelation 5:13 declares, "Blessing, honor, glory, and power be to Him Who sits on the throne and to the Lamb." We worship Jesus as the Son of God to the glory of God the Father. Doubting Thomas called Jesus, "my Lord and my God" and so do we.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit

, the Lord

29Romans 8:12-17; Galatians 4:6
.

SALVATION

The State of Man

We believe humanity was created in the image and likeness of God
30Genesis 1:27, 9:6
, but that our forefather Adam brought death into this world by sinning and we have all followed in his path
31Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22; 1 Kings 8:46
. Since then, we are all born with a sinful nature
32Psalm 51:7; Job 14:4; Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22; Romans 3:23; 1 John 3:4; 1 Kings 8:46
, we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
33Romans 3:22-25
. However, God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life
34John 3:16
; the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in our Lord Jesus the Messiah
35Romans 6:23
. We can only be saved from this punishment by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ
36Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Corinthians 15:20-23
.

Justification

We believe in order to be saved, we must confess that Jesus (Yeshua) is Lord (YHVH) and believe in our hearts that the Father raised Him from the dead
37Romans 10:9-10, 13; Joel 2:32
.

We believe salvation is not acquired through our own righteousness, but by grace
38aka unmerited favor
through faith in Jesus
39Exodus 15:2, Isaiah 12:2, Isaiah 49:6, John 3:16-17, John 14:6, Acts 4:10-12, Acts 16:31, Romans 1:16, Romans 5:1, 8-11, Romans 10:9-13, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, 2 Timothy 2:10, Titus 2:10-14, Titus 3:4-7, Hebrews 9:28
. It is the blood of Jesus that atones for our sins and makes us clean.

We believe that through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Yeshua), and by the sealing of the Holy Spirit, we are grafted into the Cultivated Olive Tree
40Israel; the Church; the Elect
, thereby becoming citizens of the spiritual Commonwealth of Israel, being partakers of the covenants of promise
41Ephesians 2:11-19
.

Sanctification

We believe after we have accepted Jesus Christ (Yeshua) into our hearts, we enter a lifelong process of conforming to His image
43Romans 8:28-30
submitting to His Word through the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in every believer
44John 14:15; Psalm 119:88; 2 Timothy 2:19; Deuteronomy 6:20-24
.

We believe the first obedient act that we are called to do in our sanctification is baptism, and through baptism, we are buried with Him, in which we were also raised with Him through faith
45Romans 6:1-14; Colossians 2:11-15; Matthew 28:19
.

We believe the Law is still valid and applicable for Christians under the New Covenant
46This includes the Festivals and Food laws
. The Law is holy, just, and good
47Deuteronomy 30:11-20; Romans 7:12; John 14:21; Psalm 19:7-11, 119:44-45; James 1:25, 2:12
and is not burdensome
48Deuteronomy 30:11-14; 1 John 5:3
. The Lord Jesus (Yeshua) makes it clear that the Law is eternal, stating, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the Law till all is fulfilled."
49Psalm 111:7-8; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:17-20, 24:35; Luke 16:17, 21:33
.

Glorification

We believe if we endure until the end, we will be saved
50Matthew 10:22, 24:12-13; Mark 13:13; Luke 21:19
. The dead in Christ will sleep in the grave until the return of our Lord
511 Thessalonians 4:13-17; John 11:11-15; 1 Corinthians 15:17-23, 51-58
. At His return, we will be resurrected unto eternal life, our mortality will put on immortality
521 Corinthians 15:50-58
, and we will live with God forever and ever
53Daniel 12:2-3; John 5:24-29; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; 1 Corinthians 15:23-26; Revelation 20:4-6, 11-15; Isaiah 65:17-19; Revelation 21:1-4, 7, 22-27; Revelation 22:1-5, 14
.

MARRIAGE

Biblical Marriage

We believe marriage is between one biological man and one biological woman
54Genesis 2:18-24; Genesis 1:27; Matthew 19:1-12; Mark 10:1-12; Deuteronomy 22:5; Leviticus 18:6-23; 1 Corinthians 7:1-8
. And what God has joined together, let no man separate
55Mark 10:9
. We will only condone and service a wedding for a monogamous
56Genesis 2:24; Leviticus 18:18; Deuteronomy 17:17; Matthew 19:5; Mark 10:7-8; Ephesians 5:31; 1 Corinthians 7:2; 1 Timothy 3:2, 12; Titus 1:6
heterosexual
57Leviticus 18:22, 20:13; Romans 1:27; 1 Timothy 1:10; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Jude 6-7
couple who are equally yoked in the Lord
581 Corinthians 6:15-18; 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:12
. Biblical marriage should reflect the beautiful relationship between the Church and Christ.

SCRIPTURE

The Canon of Scripture

We believe the Bible, the 66-book canon
59The word canon refers to "a measuring rod". The 66 books of the Canon of Holy Scripture are: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1-2 Samuel, 1-2 Kings, 1-2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1-2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1-2 Thessalonians, 1-2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1-2 Peter, 1-3 John, Jude, Revelation.
, is the infallible Word of God. The contents within are given by the inspiration of God and are profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness
60Deuteronomy 11:1, Psalm 119:160, Matthew 5:17-19; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:15-16
.

We believe it is every believer's responsibility to read and study the Bible for themselves; to hear His voice, to do His will, and to walk in covenant relationship with Him
61Deuteronomy 31:12, Acts 17:11, Romans 15:4, 2 Timothy 2:15, 2 Timothy 3:15
.

ISRAEL

The Jewish People

We believe the Jewish people are the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They are the apple of God's eye and His love for them is evident throughout Scripture and history. To them, God has delivered His Covenants and His promises. And although many Jewish people don't confess and believe in Yeshua/Jesus today, we know that God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. His promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob stands for all eternity for the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable. Therefore, our heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved by turning to Yeshua with their whole heart and trusting in Him for their salvation. WE BLESS THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL!

The Land

We believe the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people. This is the land that God Himself ascribed to them by promise. Their rights to the land are not codependent upon what the nations of the world think but rather upon the Word of God alone.
